Let us show mercy to the souls suffering in purgatory.
Through our prayers, we can become instruments of compassion, help and rescue . Let us offer Holy Masses on their behalf, let us offer indulgences, pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and Rosary i with devotion, and above all, whenever possible, recite the Prayer of St. Gertrude — a powerful prayer believed to release a thousand souls from their suffering.
Eternal Father, I offer You the most Precious Blood of Your Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the Holy Souls in Purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the Universal Church, those in my own home, and within my family. Amen.
Let us also storm purgatory with fervent prayer, raising spiritual offensives of love and mercy. Each prayer, each sacrifice offered with a sincere heart becomes a light in their darkness, bringing them closer to eternal union with God.
Together, through acts of mercy and faith, we can help bring peace to those who await the joy of heaven.
The freed Souls in Purgatory can repay us in a unique way in times of need when they get to heaven through our prayers.
