As the Polish community living in Melbourne, where the Polish Shrine of Divine Mercy is located, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the entrusting of the world to Divine Mercy by St. John Paul II, we initiated “Pilgrimages of Mercy.”
The purpose of these pilgrimages is to spread the devotion to Divine Mercy throughout Australia and Oceania. One could even say that we are “conquering Australia with Divine Mercy.” We feel called to promote devotion to Divine Mercy, as if it were our mission.
During these pilgrimages, we present the host places with gifts such as images of the Merciful Jesus, chasubles embroidered with the words “Jesus, I Trust in You,” and informational brochures. One of our most special gifts was the donation of the Bell of Hope to the Shrine of Divine Mercy in Lower Chittering, in the Archdiocese of Perth.
Here are the places we have visited on our pilgrimages so far:
3 groups to Perth and Lower Chittering
2 groups to Cairns
2 groups to NZ - Auckland & Wellington
1 group to Darwin
